Default Hancock and Moore: Lenon vs Campaign

I am shopping for a sofa and a chair, and interested in two models from Hancock and Moore; Lenon and Campaign. Since neither of them are carried by a local dealer, I haven't had chance to sit on either of them. When I got quotes for both models, the price difference is more than $1000 for the grade 2 leather. Does anyone know why? It'll be great if someone can share their experience of these two models. I prefer a firmer sofa, is one firmer than the other? Thanks.

That's about right on the price difference between the Lennon and Campaign sofas. Why? I can't really say why! Sometimes pieces just price out differently at H&M. You will tend to sit atop the Lennon, and sit in the Campaign, however. That's the way they tend to be. Firmness you can adjust on either by requesting +1 firmness in the cores, (aka Q21 cushion cores) and its done at no charge.

Thanks very much for your reply. Could you please provide more details about the difference in terms of the comfortness in between the two models?

Comfort is totally subjective and I don't really like to compare and contrast comfort levels between models for that reason.

I did sit on Arrington sofa in a local store, and felt quite comforatable, except the seat is a bit of deeper for my height. Which is the closest match to Arrington in terms of comfort? Thanks!

Thanks for your patience. I went through all the posts, and found 3 pics of lenon chair. As i asked before, do you think Campaign offers the similar feeling and comfort as Arrington?

I also read your previous post, it seems restoration sofa is on the firm side. Could you please confirm?

I am considering 3 Grade 2 leather options (based on the color I like, has to be protected), document Maize; document Fawn, and Caress Camel. Should i stay away from Document leather?

Today I saw one leather sample photo called Native book in your 2012 T&C program that I quite like the color. But i couldn't find it on the H&M website. What grade is this Native book?

Thanks again for your advice and professional suggestion.

Sorry, comparing "Comfort" between two models is a subjective opinion and something I avoid doing. Years of experience tell me that what one person finds 'comfortable' will be opposite what another thinks about a given piece. Firmness on any H&M sofa can be adjusted at time of order by ordering different cushion densities (at no charge).

H&M sells tons of Document leather. Its an important 'value' leather for them, but a true leather lover would not buy it as its soft - but over-processed.

"Native" is a relatively new leather - released in the Fall 2011 Market. Its a GR 3 leather, very natural feeling with a velvet touch. It has a light wax coating to it, but is primarily a 'nude' leather.

    Hope that helps!

Blackcat - where are you located? I looked at H&M sofas in lots of places around the country to get a good idea of the feel of different sofas. Maybe I can direct you to a place with considerable choices to sit in and feel.
