Duane suggested that we get CFA samples on the leathers chosen for our project and I'm really glad he did. The main leather is Kipling Sand and Duane said that the color could really vary and it does. The large samples are quite a bit darker than the CFA. We actually like the color of the CFA better. It is a few shades lighter and I really prefer it. Now I can't wait to see the finished products, although I know it's going to take some time for the pieces to be made and then shipped all the way to Ca.
It's nice to deal with someone who really knows his stuff.
Thank you Duane, and I can't wait to see what leather goes on the Hollis bench too!!!
Glad they arrived, Judy! Yes, Kipling is one of those hides that has a significant variance from batch to batch. It actually can come out of either a tannery in Italy - or one in China (the company that produces it has facilities in both countries). The one in China delivers a more consistent product!
That Hollis Bench will be just like Christmas - a Surprise....
Thanks Judy

Ok, I know I'm premature with this and don't really expect much, but I'm curious as to how often you as the selling dealer get an update on orders you have in process.
As often as you like! Just ping me and I make a phone call to check status....
