Price is what the market will bear and what someone is willing to pay, there's no book value for furniture items. If the piece is a current model, you generally aim for about 50% of what someone could buy it new for in a store. If its an older piece, than you just decide on what to ask for it and remember that you can always come down in price with a potential buyer, but you can't take it up!
