BevoGirl- The widest part of a human body is @ the shoulders & to comfortably pass you need 28" min. Your clearance is sufficient to allow the thighs, hips & waist to pass without constriction. Generally it's the arms or shoulders that become an obstruction & hit fixed (or precariously placed) objects as one passes through. If someone's seated @ piano bench it will be temporary & thru-traffic will be a bit constricted. Too many years of school have ingrained this semi-useless information in my brain. Hope this helps w/ your decision.

At long last, and on a day where I was just starting to think about our new sectional...I received THAT call! Duane said it is on its way and we very well could have it in our living room within a week! Oh boy!! Now I really need to get the old sofa, chair and ottoman out of the way =)
