First of all, thanks Duane for this smooth buying experience. my evening sofa and author chair arrived a whole month earlier than previously expected. My evening sofa had a few tiny scratches on one arm during the transit by Sun delivery (not happened from their truck to my house, but probably when they picked it up at HM). Duane ordered a touch up from HM for me, and it worked just great. these tiny scratches are hardly noticeable after a little repair.

Like a lot of you here, I learned a lot from this forum to buy furniture, and pictures in the resource photo are just so wonderful in the selection of a particular leather. The leather sample will give you a direct sense of how the leather feels, but it's hard to imagine how the sofa will look like in this leather by looking at a small sample. Resource photos are very helpful in the way to let you see the overall appearance and help you decide. So here is my little contribution to show you the atticus chestnut when it is wrap into the evening. Note: I think the picture is a little more redish and darker than I see in real.

I remember someone asked before if the author chair is too hard to sit. My feeling is, yes it is hard comparing to the evening sofa because it's tufted, but it does not mean it's not comfortable. It's just relatively hard, it won't hurt you like you sit on a hardwood chair for a long time. I actually prefer that relative hardness, I feel it's more comfortable than some soft chair (like my old lazboy, I will sink into it). But of course, it's just my subjective preference. One thing I have to say is the weston cane burnished leather is really nice. it gives a wild looking, but touches fine and soft. really great deal that HM now has a lot pieces in T&C in weston cane burnished.
