I had a request from a forum member for side and back photos of a Seldon sofa. These were taken at the H&M factory in Hickory NC today as one came off the line for another dealer, shown in Document leather. Not sure of the color, but I think its either Copper or Saddle. What a shame to put that hide on a piece like this! There are so many better choices. As frequent readers know, Document is not my favorite by a long shot.

Hi Duane, thanks for asking H&M for pics. I have to agree that the leather chosen doesn't make the sofa 'pop'. Did H&M indicate whether they are still making up a Seldon in more than one leather? That could be interesting. I'm still swaying towards the Teton sofa with Author chairs, although have some concern over whether all tufted sofas and chairs would be overkill in one room.
wow, the form of the sofa is so beautiful!
I agree it's a waste to put document on such a sofa. the document actually looks ok in picture I think. I was tempted to have it when I did my order because it has so many choices in the T&C program. I am glad I didn't because when you look the leather in person you can tell the difference. Just a few days ago I saw a same sofa as mine (evening) in the document leather in a local store. I can immediately tell that mine in aniline leather (also GR2) is much better looking than the one in document. The document looks very ordinary, and makes the sofa feels like it's made by bernhardt, not hancock and moore.
I don't really know. I had to call a favor in to get photos of this one as this is not normally something they will do (can you imagine the requests if they did?). Hope that helps! It has a very handsome back - I'd be tempted to do the back and side panels under the arms in a hair-on-hide, especially in Utah. That would show nicely and the seams would not be as prevalent.

The pics have helped greatly with our decision making. We're not liking the rear view of the Seldon for a floating room, it looks like it would be more appropriate against a wall. First choice right now is the Teton sofa so will wait for the custom pricing to come through.
Custom Pricing on a Teton? If so - I must have missed that. Please re-send.

Sorry Duane, we were waiting on a price for adding the wooden bars and feet to the rear length of two Tetons (so they look visually appealing in a floating environment) as well as adding the buffalo nailheads all the way round the entire two Teton sofas. Also, added two swivel Author chairs to the request. I've forwarded my PM to you again, but I'm sure you're onto it since you replied that it would take a while to price up. I suspect you're just waiting on H&M.
