I noticed this on my Acknowledgements coming out of Bradington Young, printed on the work order:
"Due to California Prop 65, these products are not intended for sale in the State of California"
Then I looked up Proposition 65, and it has to do with toxic chemicals in the build of a product:
http://oehha.ca.gov/prop65/background/p65plain.html
It appears its not illegal to sell into California, just that warnings have to be put on the product. Very odd, I've not noticed these before on B-Y Paperwork.

Going green, seems to be the mantra in vogue. So what toxic chemicals are used? Glues or stains for the wood or something in the tanning/coloring process for the leather? Obviously B&Y knows- are they willing to share that info? Hate to think during the many years of use, a sofa/chair/ottoman could be leaching a substance that could affect one's health. In my home, lots of time is spent sitting/laying on the furniture- especially the husband! Further explanation would be welcome.
Most likely its the chemicals in the flame retardant, but I can't say for sure.
