Yes, we can build it around a chair. Takes a bit of time to get the desk, longer than a chair.

Use the FLEA MARKET here for selling your old desk if you like. Its free, and seems to work for a lot of people. Pre-owned furniture won't command a high price, but check the CURRENT cost of that desk, and then put a selling price of about 65% of the current price on it, and see how that works.
