    Default Keep Packing Tape away from your Leather furniture

    Packing tape can have a very strong glue to it and if gets on your leather furniture, can and will pull off the color, especially with pigmented hides (finished, protected, painted, all mean the same thing). If you get tape on there by accident, resist the urge to peel it up or even take a peek and get a hair dryer - heat the tape as hot as you dare to without damaging the leather and try to break the glue bond on the tape so it releases easily.

    Oh yes, if you get really sticky tape and its atop a painted leather - you have a real problem. We don't use tape to secure furniture pads because of that, in my delivery truck we use only rubber bands or stretch wrap.
