Duane, I'm sure you know the answer to this. Every time I pull the covers off that September sofa and settle in, I think 'This is a really excellent, comfortable sofa. Too bad it is covered this blotchy, processed leather.' Spoiled...

Don't be too hard on yourself, that was your first leather buy!

I don't know what the price is currently for the T & C September sofa in Document Copper, but in 2008 it was an incredible value and did allow me to step into the H & M line. Since I've now purchased 15 pieces of H & M from you, with every subsequent purchase in a custom hide, I am clearly satisfied with both Hancock & Moore and The Keeping Room. Choosing the individual leather for a piece is such a satisfying process, but the limited Town & Country program does offer excellent quality at a more competitive price. I'd definitely prefer it to lesser quality.

Are you up to (15) pieces now of Hancock and Moore, Judy? That's more than I have in my own home!

I think one of the coolest pieces you designed was the Arnett sofa/settee with the Pendleton Wool Blanket on the back, and the Sedona Moss leather on the seat. That was imaginative and spectacular.

And you're the only customer whom I've let drive my sports car....lol. You're the best!

Yes, Duane, that little bench turned out great. I was so impressed with the meticulous placement of the plaid fabric.

Here is a picture of this Sanctuary sofa today without the sunlight. The leather still looks beautiful.

Nice! I took my first H&M plunge in GR 2 Atticus Sable last year and skipped the Document cheez whiz processed leather.

    Good decision!

H&M sells tons and tons of Document. In fact, that's what most dealers DO sell. One of the things about Document is some of the colorways, especially the dark browns that most people gravitate to, are tri-colored, and you don't pick this up in the swatch. Then when the sofa arrives the customer often says "I didn't expect ... THIS !"

This is also one of the primary reasons I like to photograph as many complete pieces as I can and put them in the Photo Library. Such as this one - swatch photo off the H&M website

The tri-color effect on that Document Tobacco is often unexpected, and hard to see on the swatch, but definitely evident on the sofa! There are only a few leathers in the line I would not buy for either floor stock or my own use. Document is one, another is the Glazed series, Williamsburg and finally Antelope (because its a GR 4). There are over 450 leathers, and so many really good choices.

DR, in your opinion, are the below tri-color leather? Do they run the risk of the same effect as illustrated above with Document Tobacco?

They are not, they have some 'special effects' but no where near the Document.
