    Default Repairable or reupholster?

I paid $20 for this pair of H&M chairs tonight on Craigslist. One is a swivel and the other is stationary (w/ casters). There are a few issues with them: marker on the side with scuffed arms on the stationary, torn piece on the back of the glider. But I thought these things might be repairable and for a $20 investment it was worth a try. They are certainly comfortable and the cushions and most of the leather is in fairly good condition. Do you think a leather repair service would be able to fix these issues or should we think about reupholstering? Do you know the name of the style of this chair?

A leather repair service will charge $ 160 to $ 200 to 'weld' the cut on the back, personally I'd just get a leather needle and thread and sew it up, Or some Super Glue and bond it together with a patch underneath IF YOU ARE CAREFUL with the Superglue. Superglue was invented to bond skin in medical emergences and does cowhide very well). Magic marker is forever, forget about that one. You cannot reupholster in leather, it would exceed the cost of a new chair.
