Default Hancock & Moore Tilt-Back Chairs

we have searched high and low for a leather tilt back and finally settled on h&m "Newton" chair as it seemed to have more generous seat width / seat depth than other tilt backs. before we finalize our purchase, i searched h&m website for other tilt backs and seems not all of their chairs are labeled as tilt back (including the Newton). Can you help us identify a list of h&m tilt backs that offer similar or larger dimensions of Newton so we can be sure of our choice?

I actually have the Newton Tilt Back in my store in a burnished leather, if you are close to the metro Washington DC area you are more than welcome to come in and take it for a test drive, as well as the Austin High Back Tilt Chair that sits next to it.

There is no 'list' per se of Tilt Backs, just go to the H&M web site and in the search box type in 'Tilt' and all will pop up. The "Newton" model doesn't show up as it appears its been left off the website. I will contact their webmaster and let them know.

Question for you Duane - With the Newton tilt back, how do you find it sits in terms of neck/head support? Since there doesn't appear to be anything on H&M's site on this it's not easy to try and guess.

It looks like the standard cushioned back for the Newton (5781-1) is about 2-3 inches shorter than the Austin High-Back. It seems like the sweet spot for most tilting or reclining backs is around 27-28" from seat to the upper part of the back rest/cushion, which seems to be right around where the Austin High-Back sits.

Newton has been dropped as a frame.
