I love my new chair except I need to make it taller--how do I do this
You have to lay it on the floor on its back so the base free-wheels, and then you can grab the collar and adjust the screw base up or down

Hi Duane! My Editorial chairs arrived today and I adjusted them from underneath. How much "pole" has to be left exposed? It seems I need them a bit taller but there is not going to be any more pole left (sticking out from the wood feet base/center). I'd also like the chair to sit forward a bit more than recline, and I've been able to only make it recline more. Maybe I'm limited on tilting forward then. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I cannot lower the height of my built-in desk! =)
On an Editorial Chair you can take it up as high as 23" seat height and it will have an automatic 'lock out' when you've reached the upward travel limit. There's an adjustment knob on the bottom that lets you adjust spring tension on the bottom and will affect the fore/aft a little, just play with that adjustment to and fro until you get it where you like it. After every adjustment, rock back and forth in the chair a bit to get the limits engaged on it. See if that works!
