In shopping for a new sofa we are having trouble finding stores that carry many B&Y sofas (because of price point I assume). The DILLON sofa is by far the favorite we have seen in pictures but I an concerned with the 19.5" seat depth. So, my questions is this....Is that enough seat depth??? Opinions please.
20" x 20" is the industry average and what is comfortable for most people. You can skew those + / - and still be very much OK in the sit. They increased the seat height on that unit (764-95) to 21" and that more than makes up for a 19.5" depth. See those big cushions on that sofa? They will relax and get some 'crush down' in the first 6 weeks of use and that depth will become about 21" when they do. So, based on specs I would say that's about ideal for a 6' 0" man, but ladies won't really care for the 21" seat height as they have to 'hop' up into the sofa and their feet won't touch the floor (ladies under say 5' 7").

Thank you so much for the insight! One final question....What about the BATES (568-95)? It has a slight curve to it. Could it go against a wall? Or should it sit in the middle of a room? Thanks again!
You can go either way with a curved front sofa....

I like that Bates. Picture frame back, curve in the front, seat "lay-down" long but overall size still fits in an average house - pretty much checks off all of my boxes. I had almost convinced myself to save some cash and buy a fabric sofa until that appeared on the BY web site. Kinda hoping someone on here will order one and post impressions and pics.
