    Default cleaning vs conditioning leather

We purchased leather furniture 5 months ago. I have read that the leather needs to be cleaned or conditioned twice a year. Since we are coming up on 6 months, I started shopping for leather cleaner and conditioner and immediately got confused. There is a difference in cleaning and conditioning, but a lot of the products I found are labeled as "cleaner conditioner." Are there products specifically for cleaning and other products specifically for conditioning? Which am I supposed to do twice a year? Is there a brand of cleaner or conditioner that you recommend? The manufacturer and the dealer both told me I don't need to do anything other than wipe it off with a damp cloth when needed, but I want it to last a long time and am concerned that isn't enough care.

I use leather magic. They offer kits that include a bottle of cleaner and a bottle of conditioner. Make sure you get the right one. There are kits for finished leathers and for analine leathers.
