    Default Hancock & Moore Wood Finishes - changes to pricing

    Hancock and Moore now has surcharges for certain wood finishes effective with the price changes that occurred in January 2014. I was unaware of these, so those of you that placed your orders up until today will not have to pay for them and I will absorb the increased costs. However all orders for these wood finished will now have an upcharge with is 10% based on the COM price. These are significant increases. For example on a 1044 Sadler Recliner it would be $ 165, on a 5651-3 Mood sofa it would be $ 300.

    These are the upcharge premium finishes:

    * Belgian Chocolate (my favorite)
    * Brilliance
    * Denmark
    * Frame Builder's Maple
    * Java High Sheen
    * Madison
    * Ranier
    * All Jessica Charles & Taylor King Finishes (when used on H&M product)

    WOOD FINISH CHOICE
    Would DENMARK or BELGIAN CHOCOLATE work better with KIPLING COGNAC? My computer shows wine /blue tones with the BELGIAN CHOCOLATE. The DENMARK looks to be more of a warm tone. I would appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

    These are high-gloss, deeply rich finishes. They take more time to do, hence the surcharges. I think that they are not worth the upcharge to do on something like the bun foot on a Kodiak or Austin sofa, but would be on something that shows a lot of exposed wood such as a Drake bench or a Somerset sofa.

    For Kipling Cognac, the standard Mahogany Distress looks pretty good, or the Sandalwood.

    THANKS DUANE
    I pulled up the office chairs pictures that had the Kipling and Mahogany combination. Works for me.
