Default Hancock & Moore Leather Restoration on head rest

Hello. I am looking at purchasing a secondhand H & M Browning Bustle Back High Leg Recliner. The head rest portion has a sizable "head stain" (oil) probably an area of 12" by 10". Other than that, the chair is in excellent condition. I have requested the seller provide details on the leather type so I can better understand if the chair can be economically restored. The chair is listed for $75.00...great price for H&M. I am looking for advice here on if the stain can be removed and how is that done. I appreciate any feedback. Great message board with lots of information that has helped educate me on leather - Thank You, Jim (Maine)

    Hi Jim,

The only way to remedy that is to replace the hide, the stain is permeated and cannot be removed. I just did this for a customer recently and it was $ 200 to do so at H&M, but you have 2-way shipping to the factory in NC and back.
