Red face Ok, I give...what IS a 3 way lounger? Options?

I also am looking for 2 or 3 really comfy chairs for our living room. I have seen "3 way loungers" advertised but no explanation of what that means. I would love a chair that rocks or glides and reclines (at least the top portion) for when I'm a grandma- plus I can rock myself until then. Can anyone explain the possibilities and what "key words" to type in to see the options? Also, what are some favorite, comfy chairs that will hold up over time? I love this forum and hope Duane is enjoying his vacation.

I believe that a "3 way" is what most people would think of as a standard recliner, in that it can be upright as a standard chair, in a TV watching position tilted back somewhat with the built-in ottoman up, or in a full-open sleeping position. Options can address too many things to allow for a standard definition, in that the term could mean such things as "Power" vs. "Manual", it can deal with Covers, etc., etc.
