Every response I have seen on the specific term "easeback" comes up Leathercraft and always shows a chair with an ottoman in front of it. The same web pages show Leathercraft "Recliners" with no ottoman in front of them due to the integrated ottoman inherent in a 3-way Recliner. The "Easeback" chairs also have a release mechanism located on the side of each chair and as such would certainly suggest that the chair back can recline in response to the release button.

"Easeback" is the same as a 'Tilt-back'. Only the back reclines and they must be used with an ottoman. They are generally more comfortable than a recliner but require more space in a room because of the ottoman, and more cost as you are buying two pieces of furniture instead of one. They are also stronger than than a recliner and easier (and cheaper) to repair if the mechanism fails at some point in the lifespan.
