Who is Your Favorite Decorator?

If I could choose any decorator, I'd have to agree with Nancy and go with Thad Hayes. But, since I'm certain I couldn't afford his fees, I bought his book and have been studying it for a few weeks now. Pouring over the pictures of his designs has helped me realize that what I like most about his rooms are there is absolutely no clutter and everything has a very serene look. So I'm keeping that in mind as I think about furnishing and decorating my home.

My favorite decorator is Candice Olsen also. At least once a week for the last, I dunno, many many years, I ask myself, now what would Candice Olson do with this room? If I won the lottery, I would beg and bribe her to come decorate for me if I could get her. That's on my "If I ever win the lottery list." Some people dream about meeting great sports figures, I like designers! I like that guy from Texas too, I forget his name. Oh, how about that top designer who's penthouse home was featured on Selling New York last week, wow Mama!! It was Greek revival but what an eye. I like Vern Yip alright too, maybe a B-. I am sure there are some I would like more than Vern, but he is on tv so ... I get to see his work. Candice is my favorite of all time. When I was younger, I used to love Christopher ?? something that ended up getting a line at Burlington Coat Factory. Does anyone remember him? He had a decorating show before HGTV as I recall. His real name was Richard, as his dad came on and told everyone! He really inspired me with lighting, he was a former production lighting specialist as was his dad. He sure loved to make things out of hollow core doors! He was funny and educational to watch. I wonder what happened to him. Christopher Lowell, that's his name. Funny guy who knows a lot.
