Hancock & Moore # 072 Campaign Ottoman goes to my house...
My wife and I re-carpeted our Family Room this past Monday, and decided it was time to move out the old traditional coffee table and bring in a cocktail ottoman. So, being in the furniture biz I went to the store and pulled out the 072 Campaign Ottoman that has been used for the past two years being the H&M Leather Sample Holder. If you've been to my store and looked at leather swatches, you know this is the ottoman in front of the sectional where you sit and flip through the leathers. It's had a LOT of use, and anyone looking to buy it has said "I don't like the scratches, order me a new one" - which I do. But I understand and appreciate a nice Italian pull up hide (Tuscany Harness) - knowing those are not really scratches and just the way a pull up leather reacts to a pressure marks, and I actually PREFER to have one that has some use markings on them rather than one right out of the box. Took 5 minutes to clean it up and Voila! I think it looks great in our room. As you can also see, we like to mix colors, we are not matchy-match at my house.
FYI the Leathercraft sofa # 2670 on the right side of the Ottoman is 15 years old, the Hancock & Moore 1044 Sadler recliner on the end is 8 years old (I think) and the other Leathercraft sofa on the left side of the ottoman is 4 years old. The Highboy in the back is 25 years old, the TV entertainment center is the prototype that I designed back with the first flat plasma TVs came on the scene about 13 years ago. As you can see, quality furniture holds up, and that's why I don't sell junk in my store. Good stuff does cost more, but it also lasts and doesn't break down.
Now I have to get a new ottoman for the shop to put the H&M leathers on!
