    Default horse hair chairs

I am in the process of refinishing antique chairs with horse hair stuffing. I have removed the upholstery material, and am left with the stuffing that is over 100 years old and musty. Is there a way to clean this, or should I just remove it and start from scratch?

I can't answer that, but know someone who can... If you cannot find a solution on-line, call Spicer's Upholstery on Wheeler Ave. in Alexandria, VA. Talk to John Spicer. He's been doing this so long he probably put the original stuffing in that chair. John will know what to do.
