Wow! This one is a real beauty if you need a chair that is a bit smaller in stature. Its lower height allowed us to put it in front of our window without blocking the view of Lake Michigan--which is why we live in this tiny place!!
The Burl Elm Polished is a Class Four leather and worth every penny. It was actually Duane's suggestion, and we are so glad that he included that sample in the mix! We probably would have overlooked it. There were no actual photos we could find of this leather, except one picture on the Internet of a discontinued walnut framed Councill chair covered with this H&M leather. The wood finish is Vienna with R and S nails.
We modified the front legs from the standard turned leg to a tapered leg. The taper is maybe a bit "thicker" than we thought it would be, but perhaps it was needed to balance the chair properly. We originally ordered the chair without all the fancy nail trim on the front. It was just to be spaced nails all the way around. However, due a little mix-up, the chair came with the standard nail design. We decided to keep it anyway, and the pattern has grown on us.
This chair sits very comfortably. We ordered the ultra down seat cushion on the Kenneth chair and on the seats of our Member Apartment Sofa. They are really plush and lovely. The Kenneth sits a bit deep, so I placed an accent pillow across the back which makes it perfect for us! Everyone comments on the chair--I wish my photos did it justice.
