We will be purchasing two identical B&Y recliners for our new home. I'd love some advice on which model to consider. My husband is a big man (only 5'11" but about 320) so I need a chair that he will be comfortable in. I'm thinking one of the ones that has a 22" wide seat. Any help or recommendations on which recliner you think we should consider would be very appreciated. The furniture store near me only has two or three styles in the showroom so we probably won't get to sit in it before we buy it. That's why a recommendation would really be helpful. Thank you!
The largest recliner B-Y makes is the "ALTA", and it fits most men very well. It all depends on the hip sizemore than anything. Hancock and Moore has four to five recliners that are larger than the B-Y brand, but they will be a more costly purchase.
Recliner mechanisms max out at 350 lb, so one thing to keep in mind is to treat it nicely so you don't have a premature mechanism failure. That means doing things such as fully closing the recliner before getting up from it, don't let kids pile in with him or sit on the arm when its open, that sort of thing.
Good luck!

Depending on what style you like, some other B-Y recliners with 22" or more seat width are:
Freeman, Orien, Bastien, Reid, Victoria, Satchel, and Newman
