    Default House of Thomas furniture??

I'm clearing out my mothers house and one of her hutches is made by "House of Thomas" fine hardwood furniture since 1933. Part of a paper tag remains glued to the inside of a drawer. that is all that can be read. she has some nice and some expensive furniture so I didnt want to make a mistake with this one. I wouldnt say that there is anything exceptional about this piece except it is solid hardwood except for the backing for some reason it is a veneer. I believe maple? It weighs a ton and every drawer has hand finished dovetail joints. Oh and it weighs a ton. I don't believe it to be valuable, but?

That's machine-made, production furniture. Worth what you can get for it in a garage sale, etc. Good luck.

Thats about what i thought but too bad. Its well aged at least 35 years does maple make a very good butcher block? A good piece for habitat 4 humanity then. Man it really is impressively heavy for furniture.

    Thanks for the info
