Default Hancock & Moore # 9503 Kodiak Sofa in Equestrian Truffle

One of my favorite sofa frames for comfort and classic good looks, this Kodiak tailored up perfectly in Equestrian Truffle, which is a thicker-cut saddle leather from Italy, Aniline but with a fairly decent topcoat. This is my go-to leather when customers ask me for pure aniline that can tolerate relatively brisk daily use. And it looks fantastic - feels even better. You can't go wrong with this one if you expect your sofa to see hard use.

The seat cores in this unit are special order 31 oz density. The customer was heavy and wanted very firm cushions. 18 oz is standard, we normally go to 21 oz for firm, and then can do 26 oz if someone wants super-firm. I have never done 31 oz in all the years and thousands of H&M pieces. I was expecting park-bench hard, but it wasn't. I found them too firm for me at 250 lb, but Jim, my delivery guy who is huge (about 310 lb) said they are perfect for him, he liked the sit a lot. It's a leap of faith to order these extra density items, there are no floor models to try out anywhere.

Duane, here's a thought. Have H&M provide a sample of the various core densities, ultra down etc. in the same size with a single cover so you can create the required sample cushion in your store as needed. Might help your local customers decide prior to ordering a custom piece.

Do you have record of the wood finish selected for this sofa? Thank you!

Not easily accessible. Appears just visually to be Mahogany Distress, the default finish.
