H&M vs Bradenton Young Sofa/Love Seat

My husband and I are retiring soon, and need to replace our living room sofa/love seat. We have had to replace our sofa's every 5 years due to either comfort deflating or the mechanics break. Based upon our plan to retire, we are looking for our "ever after" sofa as best we can. Of course the choices are never ending. We are trying to decide whether to go with a BY Newton motion set; or a H&M City (non-motion) set w/ an ottoman. Can you please provide some input on the quality of the mechanics having to do with the BY motion set? Can you also advise on the leather class 2 for both? thank you!

A stationary piece will always be stronger and more robust, it's a different piece of furniture from motion. If you want longevity in a recliner make sure it has either a Leggett and Platt mechanism or an Ultra-Mek, and get it motorized. Manual mechanisms get slammed around, motorized do not get the severe stresses and hence less likely to fail. B-Y uses Ultra Mek.

Leather class is simply a price grade, nothing more.
