Default Trying to figure out what we want.

    What we know we want:
My husband and I need a stationary sofa, and two recliners. I haven't submitted for a quote on BY yet, but I have received a quote on HM (T&C Rugby).
I'm hoping the BY will be a bit cheaper, and I also don't want all 3 pieces matching in both color and style. We'd like two dark brown recliners, and one medium brown sofa.
Aniline Leather or Aniline Plus/semi-aniline, just NO painted. Browns with grey or yellow tone, no red tone. Style that isn't too traditional, like wingback chip'n'dale or big rolled arms. Prefer masculine style over feminine.
    _______

    My husband is 5'10"
He sat in a BY Daylen recliner (21" seat height), and he would like a little more head/neck support. So I started looking at all the BY recliners online, and none of them go over 22" seat height. What am I missing here? Surely some of these recliners provide head/neck support?

Aniline Plus is considered a pigmented or coated leather. It much closer to being a painted hide than it is an aniline.

At 5' 10", I can't imagine he would want or need something over 22" seat height. I'm 5' 11" and 20" to 21" is my range for comfort. There is nothing over 22" in seat height as there is virtually no demand for a product such as that (unless you are an NBA player).

In B-Y look at the Alta and Huss loungers, they are two I would buy for myself. In a stationary sofa, Hancock and Moore builds a superior product to Bradington Young, in the recliners the difference is not quite as noticeable. You many want to consider a pair of B-Y loungers and do the H&M sofa?

Thanks for the clarification, and opinion.

Yeah, we thought about BY recliners and HM sofa, but it seems kind of silly to get a nicer sofa that will be occasional, more for company. Know what I mean?
But yeah, we've definitely talked about it.

My husband likes the Hess (3020):

I like the Nelson (3038) as a compromise, a bit more modern lines but still has the bustle back my husband wants:

Have you had a chance to sit in the Nelson or have any opinions on it?

I've not tried the Nelson or sold one, I have a Hess on the floor in my store. B-Y changes models like the wind, sometimes they only last 6 months in the catalog so often I don't get an opportunity to see the newer ones before they are taken out of the line. Hence my unfamiliarity with many of them. However, I can say from looking at that Nelson, the arm padding will be thinner and I'm not crazy about the arch on that footrest, when you have the two corners of that footrest extending out like that they are surely going to take hits over time with the end result being noticeable wear on those ends. I also don't care for the shallow arch on the sides at the base, the nails will always be a little out of alignment and make it appear uneven as the nail trimmer will never be able to follow that line exactly.

Yes it is still a current deal. The prices for a distant delivery will be less than what I posted in that link, because you have a shipping charge that will be added.

    Thank you, Mr. Collie

With this MC Huss. Which nailhead is used? And what stain color on the legs?

I actually really like the color of the MC (9131-95)
There was only one other leather swatch I liked, a grade 3, it was more matte (9127-88)
I submitted a price quote to see the $$ difference.

Thank you for the price quote, Mr. Collie.

Do you have any opinions on the grade3 leather I like better? (9127-88)

Does the MC Huss have a shorter lead time?
