Default "New" Old Leather Desk Chair

I bought this desk chair from an office liquidator place, thinking it was "faux" leather (because the tag underneath said, Thomasville, "Body: Synthetic Materials." Well, I had a furniture refinishing guy at my house to look at some "antique" chairs I would like to reupholster and he said my new "faux" leather chair was actually "real" leather and was about 25 years old (which I believe, since the tag also says "Made in the U.S.A."). The tufts in it are very deep, so it took me awhile to clean it up (with a toothbrush and mild soapy water). Now that I know it's "real" leather, however, I'm thinking I should probably clean it with a leather cleaner? I've attached some pics. It's actually a dark navy leather, although it looks much lighter in one of the pics. (Please pardon the mess of wires under the desk--I haven't figured out a way yet to make them disappear.)

    Any advice?

THat looks like real leather to me....and you don't need to do any more than you have, just be sure to get all the soap residue off, that's hard on leather if its left on.

Here's what I use for wire management on my desks. FAST, and easy and inexpensive. I just get them locally at Staples, etc.

Thank you! I know it's a "low-end" chair, but it's super-comfortable. The navy blue looks almost black in some light, but a very rich blue in others. As you know, I wasn't planning on getting a leather chair, but there you have it. One of the wood covers (the cover over the swivel legs) is cracked, but you can't really see it unless you're looking for it. I called Thomasville to see if I could get a replacement. Needless to say, they were less than helpful. They said the chair was "too old," and they don't keep any replacement part for any of their furniture items for more than a year.

And thank you, also, for the link to the velcro wire covers. I have a Staples right down the street from me, so I will head over there tomorrow.
