Default "New" Old Leather Desk Chair

I bought this desk chair from an office liquidator place, thinking it was "faux" leather (because the tag underneath said, Thomasville, "Body: Synthetic Materials." Well, I had a furniture refinishing guy at my house to look at some "antique" chairs I would like to reupholster and he said my new "faux" leather chair was actually "real" leather and was about 25 years old (which I believe, since the tag also says "Made in the U.S.A."). The tufts in it are very deep, so it took me awhile to clean it up (with a toothbrush and mild soapy water). Now that I know it's "real" leather, however, I'm thinking I should probably clean it with a leather cleaner? I've attached some pics. It's actually a dark navy leather, although it looks much lighter in one of the pics. (Please pardon the mess of wires under the desk--I haven't figured out a way yet to make them disappear.)

    Any advice?

    Duane?

    Bueller?
