    Default Legacy Leather from Canada

I am looking to purchase a sofa from a well known local store in the Denver area. Looking specifically at a "Legacy Leather" brand. I am told it is full top grain leather, has a lifetime warranty and top of the line seat cushions. I am having difficulty finding any other info on it. I remarked that it was the only sofa in the entire store that smelled like leather, and was told new animal fat conditioner had recently been used on it. It is in the clearance area of the store and marked down considerably it seems. Any other suggestions on what to ask about before purchasing? Super comfortable with cushion topper on top of the cushion. One salesperson said it was down, another said possibly down. The very knowledgeable sales person that was helping us, I forgot to ask him. Is there such a thing as a spec sheet for a sofa? Thanks.

Legacy Leather is made by The Campio Group. There is nothing addressing build materials on their website and I am not hands-on familiar with the brand. You could ask the company to send you a photo of a cut-away of their product and post it here, then we can go over how its made.

Found this on the website. The dealer raved about the quality of leather and build quality of the sofa. The dealer really talked up how the seat cushions were inner spring built, saying this is the best quality cushion to get.

Doesn't a "precision engineered hardwood frame" mean plywood?

Correct. And that with a drop-in spring grid system doesn't exactly *WoW* me. They are using a Marshall unit for a seat core, and that's fine - it's decent. This is not a bad piece of furniture, but it all depends on price paid for a given unit vs. what you can buy elsewhere. The build itself is unremarkable.
