Hey there,
First time poster on the site! My wife is pregnant with our first kid and we are moving. I'm having to make decisions about a lot of my old furniture and trying to get a little more informed.
I have a Knoll Bill Stephens 1315 bentwood lounge chair with a tag on it from the early 70s. Everything on it is original, the frame is in good shape, but the fabric is pretty beat up from years of use (it is my dog's favorite chair). I'm not really sure what to do - is this the kind of thing you reupholster? Clean somehow?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Check with your local upholstery shop and see what they would charge to re-cover.

If you want to save money then I think upholstering is the best way to go. However, if the furniture is old and stinky, and you want new beginnings to come with a new baby then you should probably redecorate. Also, think of all the dirt and dust that has been collecting in the furniture over the years and how it would affect your new addition. It might not be worth it to save after all.
