    Default Burnt wood finish

How do I torch wood to get that real nice finish. I know I just use a torch to make the grains pop out but should it be stained afterwards?

I have not tried doing that, but you have to do it on raw wood and better have a practice piece. You'll have to topcoat over it.

What Duane said. Check out youtube, there are some videos on there of how to do it end to end.

That's right , You have to practice first on some extra wooden piece of same wood type, to get the feel of what will be the outcome of the process.
