One of the most frequent causes of delays in scheduling your order arrival from the delivery company is failure to communicate. Most often, and this seems to be occurring more frequently, folks are not picking up the calls from the delivery company because they don't recognize the incoming phone number on their caller ID. I would estimate that about half of all my tardy delivery issues are due to this occurring. In this day and age, you are getting more telemarketing calls than ever before (I get about twenty a day at the store) and I know it's frustrating and there is a tendency to screen callers. However if you know you have a delivery coming to you - my advice is to take ALL the calls you get until your new pieces have arrived.

Most these white glove delivery companies will not try all that hard to make contact after the initial call. They will call once, then it may be several days to another week before they call again. 90% of all delivery time issues can be solved if through communication on delivery dates.
