This is not my chair, but I'm curious as to which type of leather finish would possibly result in the bright bottom layer showing through. Thanks in advance!
That looks like body oils have damaged the leather. Especially on the arms and back where your head rests. Or some substance caused the damage. Its obvious the leather was not taken care of - no maintenance.
Wow that is pretty bad.
Not at all unusual, that chair appears to have had heavy use over a number of years. Leather DOES wear over time.
