Default Bradington Young HR 962-35 "Discovery" recliner

Hi all! I'm enjoying these forums quite a bit and learning a lot (maybe too much)!!

I recently sat in a Bradington Young model HR 962-35 "Discovery" power recliner with an articulating headrest. It seemed very comfortable to me, especially the smaller bustle on the bottom part of the back.

I do have a few questions I would like your input on:

Who makes the recliner/headrest mechanism? Is it considered good quality?

What do you think about articulating headrests in general?

The B-Y website lists the weight of this recliner as approximately 89 pounds. Is that a mistake or is it exceptionally light for a recliner when compared to others?

Do you have any input on this particular model of recliner?

Is there anything in Hancock and Moore that might be a good alternative?

Thanks any and all for your comments.

I generally avoid any of the recliners with articulating headrests, they have been problem-prone in the past and needlessly complex. I don't floor stock them and am not likely to do so anytime in the near future. I can't tell you the mechanism maker for certain, but with B-Y it's probably Leggett and Platt or Ultramech.

Most recliners weight around 125 lb. I don't have that model to put on a scale.

H&M does not do articulating headrest recliners because of the issues mentioned above. You can browse their recliners on their web site.

Thank you, Duane. I am sending B-Y a note to ask why this one is 35 lbs lighter than most. Their web page doesn't show seat width either so I'm asking that from them too.

Ship weight in the price book is 150 lb, likely are looking at a typo. The price book shows seat width at 72" which of course, is ludicrous.

There are alway a lot of typos in furniture-world, from every maker. They don't proof read things very well. I know when I try to get them corrected, its takes repeated requests and only about half ever get fixed.
