Default H&M Balfour Settee and Chairs

I am trying to set up an area in my home as an area where people can talk or read. Due to the way the space is laid out, a settee and a couple of chairs would work; a full-sized couch would be too large. I'm looking at the Balfour Settee (#9511) and the matching chairs (#9516 and #9516T).

Does anyone here have experience with this group in terms of comfort?

Also, for H&M's exposed wood, do they use oak? On pieces where I can see the woodgrain it appears to be oak, but I can't find any clear indication of what wood is used.

    Thanks.

I've delivered one set of Balfour's about a year ago. I remember they were much more comfortable than I thought they would be. Not to say they are plush, but from the photos I expected them to be fairly rigid and more for looking at than sitting in. I was pleasantly surprised that they were firm, but comfortable.

H&M uses Maple on those pieces, that can be stained many different colors. The majority of pieces use maple as an exposed wood. What is not maple, is usually Mahogany.

    Thanks for the wood info.

What's the pricing on the Balfour items in Class II and Class III? Thanks.

H&M is running its summer sale period right now (through Sept 7th) so these prices include that percentage:

    # 9511:

    Grade 2: $ 2,866
    Grade 3: $ 2,973

    # 9516:

    Grade 2: $ 2,248
    Grade 3: $ 2,328

    # 9516T:

    Grade 2: $ 2,301
    Grade 3: $ 2,381

Shipping additional based on total weight.

I'm liking Antelope Wine - due to the composition of my household I have to consider durability, and from what I'm reading Antelope sounds like a good choice. I understand the color variability of Antelope leather.

But I have to, you know, discuss color with my wife and see if she wants to lay her hands on some samples.

They came out nicely. The leather is Antelope Wine. Wood finish is Lineage.

The flash brings out the red in the leather. The three pieces are all done in the same leather, so the difference in color comes from the flash. The settee is the closest to the actual color.

Very nice, Aaron! Thanks for posting photos. I have an 8172 Chesterfield in the store in Antelope Wine as well (just sold this past Saturday). Its really a terrific leather and the color is excellent. Its one of those that shows dark on the swatch but when made up its rich and elegant. Very soft and supple especially for a protected leather. Your Balfour series looks great, lots of style there. Thanks for placing your order with me.
