A work of Art in wood and leather. How else can you describe this? So far beyond ordinary furniture, this is real craftmanship. As I unpacked it for delivery I can't help but admire the back line of this piece, for some reason it reminds me of those old Chris Craft mahogany boats that used to cruise the lakes in the post-war years. Out of respect for the customer, and not wanting to put even the slightest scratch on it, I left the padding on the rockers for delivery, but there is enough here for you to really get a feel for the chair. And you know what? It sits really well - too. I was surprised how comfortable it is, at least to me. The Belgian Chocolate is a premium, extra-cost finish, and has many layers on it. This is NOT a finish to treat roughly and it is very difficult to repair. This is not your finish if you want to set a beer can atop it, or a bowl of nachos. Select a standard finish and save the money if that's the use intended.

What a chair! Who ever thought a rocker could be art?
