    Default Layout help needed

I am looking to replace the family room furniture. A designer drew the following layout and I am hoping that I can get some suggestions to improve upon it. Here is my wish-list items:
    - Be able to seat 7 people if possible
    - Keep an open design so that the patio doors are not completely covered
    - Keep the fireplace as the focal point

I did consider a sectional in front of the patio doors but that will impact the flow of traffic so I rejected it.
Another option would be to go with a 3 seat sofa facing the fireplace and move the two chairs to in front of the patio door. What do you all think?

I'm thinking of a similar design, but with a bench where your chairs are. I need overflow seating only occasionally, so that works for us (I hope). Food for thought...

Too many pieces, too small an area. It's a common issue. Don't try to decorate to the 7 person accommodation unless that is your daily need. Most people put too much furniture in a room.

If that were my room, I'd explore doing a single curved piece such as this facing the TV, then two small swivel chairs flanking the fireplace. I would have to scale it out, though - and check space. I would not use two sofas, two chairs, that's crawling over furniture in that space.

Ok, so 7 person is out.

The curved sectional is an interesting idea, but it is hard to determine the actual size of it. Would you be able to tell me the dimensions. Adding up the widths of 70.5+50+50+44 sounds too large. Also, don't you think the height of the sofa would make it a closed look as we enter the room?

Have you got the better idea? My aunt was under same confusion, hence, she consulted an experienced home renovation professionals to get their views and ideas. They additionally told her to cover patio doors with the Shoji screens. This will look more decorative, elegant and will also enhance the lighting in the house. Get details about this online as many professionals share their valuable insights on these types of queries.
