Looking to identify this bedroom set from Craigslist

Hey! Great forum! So we've owned this bedroom set for almost two years. I've always been curious as to who made it, how old it might be, etc. We paid about $500 for the four pieces. I was looking for something mid-century modern and we found this in a local ad. There don't appear to be any makers marks or any sort of identifying info on any of the pieces. There are lots of chalk/pen marks and some pencil marks. Random numbers and lines here and there, but that's all.

The darker pieces between the handles and the wood are actually pieces of leather, which I thought was different.
