    Depends on the piece and leather. To the best of my knowledge all the burnished leather items are NOT pre-cut and pre-sewn, so I think the contrast welt can be done at no charge. At least I would put the order in like that.

    I wasn't thinking about burnished. It occurred to me that since the welting on finished leathers seems to be a part that can show early wear, upgrading just that to a full aniline leather in a contrasting color might keep it looking nicer longer, even if you can't swing for the full piece to be done in the higher grade. Either on a program piece like the City Sofa in Cavalier or a non-program piece in a grade I or II leather.

    I wouldn't worry about that myself. It's impossible to use anything and not have some wear no matter what - I don't think that welt trim is an issue - if it a concern you can remove the welts and go with stitch closure.
