Default Wife thinks im crazy, new recliner in leather ...not happy

Ok I bought a Flexsteel ALL leather recliner...I really like it...except...when I get up I see an indent of my butt, it does fade but not 100 percent. Its a very soft supple leather...
I called the store and asked IF the hi density firm cushion would help stop this...they said they will order me one at no charge but im doubtful it will.

My neighbor has a pair of Hancock and Moore leather wingbacks and theirs are worse BUT they are older too...mine is 3 week old !

I assume im stuck with the chair and they wont take it back...Is this something that all leather smooth recliners do ??

Yes all leather will puddle over time. A very firm cushion might help delay it but it will still happen as every time you sit down you are stretching the skin.

Yeah bummer. It probably depends on the leather too, the softer and stretchier the sooner it will puddle. See if the new cores help!

Some leathers puddle more than others. Cowhide (female) stretches more than Steerhide (male), for example. Steerhide costs more than cowhide for that reason. Not sure what Flexsteel uses, however all leathers will puddle some. If its to the point where you can grab some in your hand and feel the fold of the leather, that's excessive and the casing needs to be trimmed and re-sewn.

Humm well I really don't want to have a two week old leather cut...so they are sending me the firm pad...if this doesn't work can adding more Dacron ?? Or id there a different pad, with springs etc ??

Also how do I post a pic ??
