Default Making a Delivery Trip to Long Island on Sunday July 22nd

I am going to run my delivery truck and team to Long Island on Sunday, July 22nd. We have a table and chair set by Century to go to one of our forum members and its better for my team to drive it up to New York than a commercial service. If you live along the i-95 Corridor from Washington DC to New York City and would like something quick and I have it in-stock (and can take it that day) then we can deliver to you at a reduced price for delivery. We rarely make trips that far north, so this is a rare opportunity to take advantage of if so inclined. No sales tax collected outside of Virginia, too.

    Hi Duane,

I'm on L.I. and have purchased several sofas and Treharn pieces from the KR. Do you have any of John Buchanan's work in stock? If so, any pictures?

Sorry, missed this post. I have a few smalls left of John Buchanan's pieces. All tables. However, the guys made their trip today and apparently were pretty miserable as it absolutely poured on them the whole trip.

As per your request, these are the last two pieces of John Buchanan's work I have in the store.

I have no interest in packing and shipping these as I don't want to get complaints about cost to box them up and trucking charges. If you decide you do want one shipped, it will be a flat $ 100 to package either one and trucking fees will likely run $ 150 to $ 200. No whining! Local pickup preferred.

First table is a handmade oval QA piece of solid cherry, with a unique flame cherry top. Most people who come in the store don't stop to appreciate the flame cherry wood or the hand-cut legs, which are difficult to do. There is an art to making a Queen Anne Leg, and most are machine made and lack the curves and grace of this one (and the second piece too for that matter). $ 999 is the price for this table.

This second table is one I had John make from Albert Sack's Book (Good, Better, Best) a copy of a Masterpiece (you can see a photo from the book atop the table), this is a finely done drop leaf table with rule joints and wooden hinges. These are so hard to make, most woodworkers won't attempt to do so and if they do try - they almost always miss the proportions. The swinging gate leg has to be made precisely as well - this is a complex piece. . This is one of one - no others have been made. Done in Cherry - $ 1,575.
