Longtime lurker, 1st time poster here. The forum has been a great resource in educating me on furniture construction and quality. Thanks to all! I'm in the search process of making my first purchase of a high quality sofa and loveseat / chair.
Found this Hancock and Moore sofa and chair with ottoman. There is some puddling on the back cushions but it looks decent. I have no idea as to the age.
What would the general consensus on condition of these pieces: Fair, Good, or Great? Asking price is only $600 for the set but I'd pay more for better condition if these are starting to wear....
For $600, I would snatch them up if still available.
I believe they changed off from that label type some years ago, maybe 10 years ago now? So the set is at least that old. However for $600 it is a good deal unless there is some major damage you can't see in the poorly lit photos.
Testing my memory.....but that was a style offered in the 90's, so they have some age on them and are a bit dated-looking. However they probably still have quite a bit of life left in them. If you like what you see and that's your budget, no reason not to.

Thanks for all the feedback. My budget is higher and I've actually been looking at purchasing a new Bradington or Smith Brothers sofa. However, I'll always investigate a good deal, especially on a piece from H&M.
