Back in the Store
Finally enough room to bring one of my favorite pieces back into the store from the warehouse. Why is it my favorite? Because it backs up what I am telling my clients.
Every dealer tells you they sell "High Quality Furniture", but how do you really know? All the things you really need to see are hidden under the leather, fabric and the cushions. Ask them if they have a cut-away sample for you to see? My guess is you will hear crickets chirping when you do. "How about a photo of a cutaway?" Nope - they don't have that either, they tell you to "read the website" for construction details. Uh-huh. No photos even on the website, because they really don't want you to see the plywood, the MDF, the cardboard caps over the arms, the staples and plastic, and the pirelli-webbed suspension.
But if you are in the Washington DC area, come by my store and I will show you the RIGHT way to build an upholstered chair in a piece you can see, touch and explore. I had this specially made at my request, and will be more than glad to explain what you are seeing, its currently right at the front door when you walk in. You'll see the quality for yourself.
No one builds like Hancock and Moore.
