Default Help Identify Feature on Old Rocking Chair

    Is this a Sussex chair?
I just found this old wooden rocking chair. I'd like to learn more about it. I think it might be a Sussex chair.
The rush seat is messed up but the wood is in okay condition and has some nice features such as the unique dropped spindle under the arms. The wood is ebonised. There is a carving on front of seat and art work on top inside of the back.
It is approx 16"H at seat and 23" seat width. It seems to have a short and wide profile.
I really feel this was made for a woman.
I'd appreciate your feedback or help identifying it.
    Thx everyone!
