Most all the photos you see of the Manning Recliner are in modern, contemporary leathers, so its refreshing to see one in an Italian burnished leather, gives the chair a totally different look. My customer loved the way the floor model sat, but wanted a pair of these to go with a more traditional look, so she took a chance and ordered them in this hide. They came out great and she is thrilled with them. The Manning uses an Ultra Mek mechanism, which is a USA-made (Denton NC) boutique mechanism producer that has unique products. In this chair, you will notice from the side profile it sits up much more straight than recliners that use Leggett and Platt mechanisms. I happen to like this more vertical sit and so does Jack Glasheen who founded Hancock & Moore, he thinks this is the best recliner they have ever made from a sitting/comfort position. Wood finish on this is Mahogany Distress.
