This brass bar cart with pineapple finials has been in my family since the early 60s when my grandfather bought it new, then my mother took possession of it & she's since passed it down to me. We think it's solid brass (it's heavy as hell,) either Italian, French or possibly American made from that era.

It's identical to and/or very similar to pieces from Maison Jansen & LaBarge from that time period, yet I have not been able to find a maker's mark.

If anyone could provide some additional info about this bar cart, I'd be greatly appreciative. I was born in '78...a little too young to know much about home decor from the 60s & 70s.

There's an identical one currently listed for $3,250 on 1st Dibs with horse head finials in amazing condition. Unfortunately, the listing does not state the maker either...so, we're stumped. We're just looking to learn more about it, determine its value & then possibly decide to sell it.

We're taking it the "brass guy" this week to have it cleaned & brass refinished/fixed (I have no clue what the process is called when it comes to metals,) since the piece now has moderate oxidation & pitting due to my not properly caring for it (I thought it just needed a wiping down with a damp paper towel whenever it got dusty.)

Sorry for the screenshot images, but for some reason my Galaxy S8+ was attaching the images sideways, even after I cropped them.
