    Default Help with drawer pulls

    Hello guys, I am new to this forum and I am seeking your help. I have this beat up dresser. But it has beautiful wood drawer pulls that I want to save. It appears as they are glued on.i need advice on removing them with no damage. Any wise words would be appreciated.

    There is no visible screw or dowel on the backside to secure them, correct?

    Take nylon fishing line and start at the bottom edge, then saw it back and forth and see if you can break the glue bond. There is probably a dowel in the middle, but if its just glue, you'll can saw through it. Wear heavy gloves. If you can get enough opening with the fishing line, then slide a metal putty knife in the slot and work that putty knife to pop them off.

    Always take photos of the backside of the pull from inside the drawer, too.

    Thanks, worked. I mean it took a little bit of the veneer but all I wanted were the pulls. You are a creative genius
