Default Baseball Stitch by Hancock & Moore

    Good Evening,

Are you familiar with what is referred to as the baseball stitch from H&M? Looking for an alternative to the standard welt on the cushions. Is it an upcharge or no charge?

    Thank you,

    Steve

Yes, it's referred to as the "I" Stitch. You can see it here in this link, page 2, post # 16.

It was used extensively on this sofa I did for a customer:

Yes, there is an additional charge for decorative stitching depending. On the sofa above it would be $ 287 at my store.

That sofa looks amazing. The sample we received looks a bit different than your picture? I have attached a picture of the stitch sample we got from HM.

The bottom stitch is referenced as the Baseball stitch. The top stitch is referenced as the Top stitch. We are planning on substituting the Baseball stitch for the standard Welt trim on the cushions.

If you go back to the first link I posted, you will see the correct name for the stitch is "Saddle Stitch" (the one on the right of your photo). I consider a "Baseball Stitch" to be their "I" stitch, however they don't really use that "name" so it can be different things to different people.
